Week 52 of The Gallery: Hair.

Happy Wednesday, Wednesday has soon come around again. Hello and welcome back to my blog. Thanks for stopping by again today.

 Today I am sharing a fun hairstyle post with you. This is my take on this weeks theme at Sticky Fingers blog hop;

Week 52 of The Gallery blog hop: Hair.

Well, it just so happens that on the day that I read this weeks theme on The Gallery photo blog hop is...

And guess what!?

I had just been for a haircut on that day.!! Coincidence or what? So funny, I had to laugh out loud!!

Anyhow, I had my hair cut and had it cut very short and changed the colour again. I am always changing my hair colour.

Don't you just love how kid says things?

My children always do say funny thing.

Like..

When my 7-year-old son seen me coming out a shop whilst waiting in the car with his dad, he said

"Mum I did not think that was you coming out of the shop then, I thought it was a boy"

Great, love my new haircut then son!?

Kids say the most fun thing. I am always laughing so much at the thing my children say and do. They are so sweet and say things so innocent.

New Training : Week 1 : Fit To Fitter...

I think Motivation Monday, I could do with some of that!!

It has been a horrible 3 weeks.Not much training being done around here :(

Training, what training!? Running, what was that again, remind me?

Starting out with a pain in the tooth. Then toothache.

THEN leading to an abscessed tooth. Swollen face, 2 lots of antibiotics, tooth out.

So not much training is done at all. I am just too weak to do anything. I hate being poorly and I hate having my teeth out. Ouch.

At The Park : Silent Sunday...

Happy Sunday. We have been busy, busy here, how about you?

My Silent or not so silent Sunday photo was taken at the park.

A great place to take the children at weekend and after school.

At the park: Not so Silent Sunday.

There is lots of fun to be had at the park. A place where you can run and scream, laugh and cry and let off some steam!! A good place to tire the children out too.

My youngest two children love a trip to the park, it is so much fun. We are really lucky to live near a big park so these are lots of things to do here. 

You can run, take a bike ride, play on the swings, feed the duck, walk through the woods, rid your scooters, play tiggy, climb the apparatus, go on the roundabouts and see-saw, slide down the slide and even have a picnic here. When the weather is nicer though. So much fun to be had at the park, unless it is raining, then no one wants to go to the park.

This is just a short walk from the school too so not far to go for an after the school run around. 

It might be cold outside but when you're running around the park, you soon warm up. 

The good thing about going to the park when it is cold is that you get the whole park to yourselves. How nice!!

When they finished playing it was homeward bound for yummy hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows.

Tomorrows Athletes?

We all love to run. Me my husband and two oldest children run so far. It is something we are now getting our youngest children into. 

I was never into running when I was younger, I would walk the cross countries and moan if I had to run for a bus but after having 4 children I find it the best way to keep fit. My husband on the other hand alway ran as a child. Even from an early age, he ran. Also, he was a really good runner so I think the children get their running skills from him.

The great thing about running is we can all get fit as a family and it does not cost much money too. Just something suitable to run in and some good fitting trainers and your good to go.

It is one of the best things we have learnt the older children as they love to exercise now as they know how important it is to eat well and exercise.

We are lucky to live near a running track. When we visit the park we also like to have a run around the track! A family fun race is good for learning the children competitions a big school. Some schools do not like to encourage the children to win nowadays, my eldest twos sons old school didn't but I think it is good to get them into trying to be better, no harm in that?

Lemon cake anyone? I must admit, I am a huge cake fan and I love a bit of lemon cake, yummy!!

Lemon drizzle cake is amongst my favourites, that is why I am sharing a slice with you today :)

The Gallery: Week 51:Education.

This week over at The Gallery blog hop, the theme is Education.

The first thing that I thought of was;

"Oh no"

 It has been a long, long time since I went to school....

So for me, Education means to me; Learning something new...

I hold my hands up when I say I've never been interested in taking photos. The reason being, I've never been any good at taking them!!

Have Picked My Six?

Right ...Yes no, yes no...

I think I have made my mind up !? Been a tough decision but I have eventually made it. Yeah, eventually, I have picked my six items of clothing to wear, again and again, day after day, week after week, hour after hour, second after second!! You get my drift?

I've changed my mind a few times. In one item, out another. Out one item, in another. Picking just six items of clothing to wear in one month is hard work. Don't you think so too?

Now I think that my six items for The Six Items Or Less Challenge. I am all ready to go!!

They are going to be as followed:

• 1 long sleeved black and cream polka dot blouse for mix and matching.
• I bright red short-sleeved shirt to cheer me up.
• I silky black satin dress.
• 1 long black with a coloured frill maxi dress.
• 1 grey cardigan to keep me warm and cosy.
• I cheerful red and white polka dot dress, because I love it.

Red Noses....

Happy Friday, today is Red Nose Day 2011.

What are your plans for today? All fun I hope?

My children will be having lots of fun today as they love Red Nose Day. Any excuse to dress up and have fun for the day!! Who would not want to wear a red nose for school and get laughed at!? I bet every one of their friends looks silly too.

Lemon Icing Cake...

I made this lemon cake a few days ago and it tasted amazing.

I just wish I could have shared some with you ...Just a little slice though.

Ice-Cream ...

I scream for Ice Cream!!

Well no I do not really, ( the children might;)) but that is the first thing that sprang to mind when I took these photos of my children eating ice cream.

 I thought I would have a little fun today by sharing some editing on these pictures of my two youngest children eating ice cream on a day out.

How fun, something to look back on when they are older. Mum how could you share these pictures!?

Ice creams always look and taste so yummy, especially when someone else is eating it.

My kids make them look so nice!! I am trying to be good too. It is melting quit quickly too.

Watch out it does not go all over that lovely Batman t-shirt son :)

Is It Yummy Son!? I think so!! Too nice he is saving a bit for later on his chin.

London Taxi's...

How cool are these London taxi's?

I had never seen any taxi's like this before we went to visit Lonon.  In London, they are all over. 

We got to visit London for the first time in ages so we were spotting things we never see near us, starting with the cool cabs.

All the ones around us where we live are either white or black with a little sign on them. A little bit Same-ish and a little, can I boring.

I could not stop looking out for these Black Cab's, painted with fun designs on them and spotting all the different ones. They look so much fun. There are lots of different designs and we loved spotting brands we love too.

My Family...

Hello and welcome to an introduction to my rather big family.

There is a few of us. With 4 children 6 of us in total, there is never a dull moment!

What better place to take pictures than on a family day out!?

We love family fun days out together on the train. Always plenty of things to see and do when we all have time off together. School holidays and my husband's holiday off work are the best days for us to travel together. 

Love these photo's I took of the four of us in London on a day out. We have not got too many to share as we are always rushing around but here goes:

Hello..

I am finding my way around the world wide web and all things blog related. How lovely is it to find all these blogs in blog land!? I love discovering new blogs and reading blogs from all around the world.

It is my first ever week of joining in with The Gallery photo blog hop and just hope I do this right :) Ha!!

This week's theme is Tree:

My tree photo is of The Table Top Tree. A tree in between Nottingham and Worksop.

It is on the A60 road from Nottingham and near to the town of  Mansfield. Have you heard of this tree before?

I really would like a seasonal picture of this tree.4 seasons would be great!!

Six Items Or Less......

Have you heard of the Six Items Or Less Challenge before? I have just registered for the 3rd cycle. I love it. I missed the 1st one and joined in the 2nd one.

Could you only wear 6 items of clothing for 30 days? Without wearing anything else? Wash and wear?

Here Are The Rules Of The Clothing Experiment:

• Participants, aka us Sixers, you, me or anyone who wants to join in the fun choose six, and only six items of clothing to wear for 30 days. 
• Blog about their experience together as a community on the Six Items Or Less website. 

Don't fret, there are exceptions to your six: shoes, underwear, pyjamas, workout clothes, work uniforms and accessories don't count towards your six items.

I mentioned I did cycle 2 but did not pick my six wisely!! I pick a pair of jeans, 2 sweatshirts, a black jumper, a jumpsuit and a polka dot dress. Also, my first choice was very safe and boring!! *Yawns*
