Slim Fast Challenge...

I was really pleased when Slim Fast picked me as one of the bloggers to take part in to take their #SlimFastChallenge.

Earlier this week I was sent a box full of yummy Slim Fast products including- milkshakes, meal replacement bars and some tasty sweet and savoury snacks to try out. Enough treats for over 2 weeks. I will follow their 3-2-1 plan trying to see how much weight I can lose. Only one thing I need..Will Power To Succeed!!

Out of all the diets I have tried over the years Slim fast is probably my favourite. I love my treats and milkshakes too much to succeed on usual diets. I am hoping I can do well with this time! I adore the taste of the Slim Fast milkshakes, the Vanilla, and Caramel are my favourites flavours, they are so yummy.

Since Christmas I have slowly put weight on!

The scales are my enemy. Every month a few more pounds on. To my horror as I weighed myself the night before the challenge I realised I have gained nearly 14lb in weight in 5 months. Going from 133lb to 146.80lb. Arrrr... Something needs to be done!!

I know why I have been gaining the weight.

I finished my membership at the gym. I had been trying to get more running in. Then almost immediately after doing more running took a fall in the woods.! I have damaged my hip (indeed it is still sore). The fall may have knocked my hip out of line ?! I am back up to 2 miles again now, but may be limping.

Trouble is I love food and I eat the same amount of food without doing the exercise. This is how I am gaining the weight. To suceed at any diet I need to make small changes and think of how I am going to achieve them to reach my goals. Cutting down on food, more exercise and drinking more water is a good start.

The slim Fast 3-2-1 is such a simple and easy diet to follow:
  • 3 snacks a day ~ fruit or any of the slim fast treats.
  • 2 meal bars or milkshakes a day
  • 1 healthy meal around 600 calories for women 800 for men.
I started my diet yesterday and day one complete. OK. I am looking forward to making new changes one day at a time. Rome was not built in a day! I found it hard to start with, feeling hungry and it is hard for me to to keep away from my habit of bitting and bobbing.

Once I get my head around this and grab a glass of water or go for a walk instead I will be fine!?! One thing I already look forward to,is a nice cold milkshake for breakfast...

About this post-I got sent some Slim Fast products to take part in the Slim Fast Challenge. All thought are my own and I was not paid for this post...
