Summer Bucket List: Parkrun...

On our bucket list~
28.) Park Run: Now I've got back into running again. Time to lace the trainers up and start running faster. I'm sure it will be my slowest time but with 6 weeks surely I can improve!?!
Over last weekend and the beginning of this week we have been getting lots done on our summer bucket list!

Basketball.
Park run.
Lots of train rides.
Bakewell.

Even a trip on the train to the cinema in Nottingham on Sunday to see Pixar's Inside out.

Not letting the rain ruin our fun!

Another one on the bucket list complete..
2.) Take Lots Of Train Rides: Lots of days out on the train to here, there and everywhere.

On Saturday we ticked off Parkrun off our summer bucket list.

It was {as predicted} my worst ever Parkrun time.

Not to worry though as I am just getting back into running.

I really enjoyed getting out and running with lots of other people around you.

It does get so boring going out on your own!!

My son on the other hand did amazing.

He has ran every day since New Years Day.

At least a mile everyday.

Increasing it after a few months at a time.

He wanted to have a goal to work for, to help improve his running.

So he decided to start a runstreak.

He has kept to it everyday just by putting his mind to it.

No sighs of stopping for a day off either!

We had a little competition for the New Year to see who could keep a run streak going the longest.

Me, my daughter and 2 eldest sons have gave our run streak up as soon as started.

My youngest son and husband are still going .

He says I want to win the £100.00 bet on the runstreak.

Why did I give up?

Oh well I've been out of the competition so long now I have forgotten about the prize money!

I thought it was £20.00 that we agreed!!

Not sure where the £100. bet came from,as he now says it was this agreed prize!?!

He has his eyes on the prize!

And my husband does not like to lose either!!

Most days he just ran a mile or 2, a few times a week he does a 3 miles run and now upped his long Sunday run to 5 miles.

He is my running hero, I should take a leaf out of his book!!
