Philips Viva Collection Juicer Review + Recipes..

I have to admit...

I am not too good at eating my 5 portions of Fruit and Veggies. I normally eat at most two or three.

Not good!!

I always encourage the Hubby and Kids to eat theirs.

To be fair they always do. I am the naughty one. I start off with the best of intentions Banana smoothie or shake for breakfast. Yet by lunchtime the apple and pear I was going to have with my lunch, gets replaced with biscuits. I sometimes even get the fruit and veg ready. Carrot sticks, Apples cored and peeled. in the end though I cannot be bothered to chew them and up dipping a biscuit in a cup of tea.

With all the running I am doing, as well as the gym and dog walking, I really need to improve my vitamin intake. With that in mind I was pleased to be offered a new kind of juicer to review.

Phillips offered me a chance to try out one of their Viva Colletion Juicers to review.  'A brand new one, with a pre-clean function, the first of its kind.' Just what I needed.

What Phillips say about theViva Collection Juicer:
  • This Philips juicer extracts even more juice from your fruit and vegetables.
  • Cleaning can be done within 1 minute thanks to the revolutionary "QUICKClean" technology
  • Healthy homemade juice every day!
  • Pre-clean function rinses away the unwanted fibres.
  • The Philips juicer is the 1st centrifugal juicer on the market with a pre-clean function.
  • By pouring water into the pusher, you can create a water fountain in the appliance, which rinses away the unwanted fibres from the lid and makes the sieve easier to clean.
  • The pulp will all be collected in the only place where it should be: in the pulp container of your Philips juicer.
  • That means you no longer need to remove pulp from other parts such as the lid.
  • Due to the round design and smooth surfaces without nooks and crannies, the pulp is easy to reach and the container is much easier to clean.
  • A lot of pulp fibres usually get stuck in the sieve, which makes it very difficult to clean.
  • Thanks to the innovative QuickClean technology, all surfaces of the sieve are smooth, which helps you wipe away the fibres with a standard kitchen sponge.
  • The juicer is designed with round shapes and smooth surfaces to facilitate easy rinsing under the tap.
  • Quick and easy assembly of all parts.
  • With see-through pulp container Enjoy a true interactive juicing experience.

  • Powerful 700 W motor Strong 700-W motor for blending, mixing and crushing effectively.

My thoughts on the juicer:

The main thing above all else which will get me using this is the easy clean function. In my kitchen the pots are a nightmare. I am often left to do them all, even after I have cooked a three course meal for 6!!

Something that is quick clean is therefore essential. A definite tick for this new juicer.

You can just chuck anything in, give it a taste test, if flavours don't work, rinse and repeat. Easy.

My favourite so far -- Apple, Orange with a few blueberries I had left over. Lovely.

One other thing which is brilliant is the speed with which it juices! Amazing, literally a few seconds for 3 oranges and an apple. All juice out of the spout, all bits, pulp in the bottom. Did I say easy to clean?!!!

A definite new kitchen essential.

Thoroughly recommended.

Keep an eye out on my Instagram for updates on new discoveries. Let me know what your favs are.

Now for experiment time!!
