Glenilen Farm Range of Natural, Fruit Layered Yoghurts Review...

Over the last few weeks, I have been trying to eat a little healthier. Cutting down on the junk food, whilst adding extra fruit and vegetables. It normally goes wrong for me at breakfast, sugary cereals then butter, jam and toast. Once I get that taste of sugar I can't resist!!

I really wish I could cut refined sugars from my diet once and for all.

I have been trying to eat a lot of plain yoghurt with fresh fruit added. When I have hit the gym I have had a protein shake with a few spoonfuls of yoghurt added to taste.

Yoghurt is a great treat when you are trying to cut out chocolate and biscuits.

Glenilen Farm recently got in touch to tell me they have just launched a range of natural, fruit-layered yoghurts in Sainsbury’s (on 22nd May) and kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their range.

How cool!?

Natural yoghurt with a tasty layer of fruit at the bottom already added. Perfect, some days I have yoghurt in the fridge but no fruit. Or vice versa.

Yum yum!

How cute are these small glass yoghurt pots!?

There are no artificial additives or preservatives added which is great news. If it isn’t sweet enough for you, just add some extra natural sugar and stir!

These Fruit Yoghurts are now available in a large 500g pot at Sainsbury's priced around £2.00.

You can find out more information about Glenilen Farm and the range of premium yoghurts they offer on their website: Glenilen Farm.

About Glenilen Farm:
In 1997 Valerie began using this milk to make homemade cheesecakes for the local country market. Her cheesecakes, made with fresh, simple ingredients, quickly gained popularity. From that small beginning Glenilen Farm began.
What started as a hobby continued to grow, and in doing so transformed our small farm into a hive of activity. Soon we needed a little help keeping up with demand. Nowadays Sam & Louise and their team help us make the products, Margaret keeps the office going while Avril, Tom & Seamus together with Alan and Valerie look after the business end of things.
Most days Alan can still be found on the farm, with Valerie in the kitchen experimenting with new mouth-watering recipes. There’s never a shortage of willing taste-testers, but she knows that Sally, Grace and Ben are her toughest audience!

I adore the glass jars and how the fruit puree and yoghurt are presented. They taste great. I popped my spoon down to the bottom of the jar to get a bit of fruit puree and a lot of the natural yoghurt. Your taste buds, initially pick up the sour from the yoghurt then the sweetness from the fruit kicks in. They taste delicious, yummy!

There are no artificial additives or preservatives added. If you feel the need to make them sweeter you could add a little natural sweetness of your choice.

The great added bonus of the cute little jars is, once you have enjoyed your yoghurt you can upcycle them!!

Regular readers of my blog will know I am a big fan of upcycling. I have a few ideas running around as to what to do with the jars. Keep your eyes peeled for an upcycling post in the future.
