The countdown to Christmas is officially on, it has me thinking of what kind of presents I will be looking for this year. We have plenty of gifts to buy, so we like to get each present as cheap as possible. Don't you?!
On Friday 24th November it is Black Friday. A perfect day for buying gifts and hopefully saving money.
Traditionally Black Friday is the last Friday in November when all the shops clear out their old stock to make way for next years trends. There are always plenty of bargains to be found, you just have to shop around for them.
I am a big fan of Black Friday however I try and avoid the High Street as I cannot do with the hustle and bustle and even fighting that can take place in the shops.
I personally like to do my sale shopping online in the comfort of my armchair. Cuts out most of the stresses except for when an item that was in my shopping basket suddenly becomes out of stock. Gggrrrr. That really winds me up. Sometimes you have to be fast with your mouse and keyboard to snag a deal!!
Whichever you choose High St or Web browsing there will be a deal out there for you.
Today I am sharing a few of my money saving tips:
Here Are My 5 Black Friday Savvy Squad Saving Tips And Hacks:
Use this day to look out for bargain discount codes for a Christmas meal out for you and your partner/friends/family a discount off a new tv or maybe a deposit for next years holiday. Just check it is on your list of things you want to buy first. MyVoucherCodes has some great discounts and they also have a countdown on until Friday.
Most of my readers I am sure use social media. Facebook, Twitter Instagram etc. Did you know though that most retailers use social media loads on Black Friday too? Make sure to follow all the companies on your list, and read what they are posting during the day. Many will have exclusive offers if you like a page or retweet something. Maybe an extra 5% off or a free delivery code or maybe something even better. Keep those eyes peeled. If you see a great offer don't keep it to yourself share with your friends and family and ME !!
1. Make A List:
Make a list of things you are looking out for on Black Friday. Write a list of family and friends that you will be buying gifts for and what kind of things you are looking to buy them. This is number one tip for a reason. It is so so easy to see something that has an 80% off sticker and think this must be a bargain. Only to buy it and realise no one you know actually wanted it. A bargain is only a bargain if you have a use for it. Certainly, that bargain garden rake the Hubby got last year for Christmas has not seen any use. I could have had an extra pair of shoes if I had known!! 😜
2. Set A Budget:
Browse the Internet before Black Friday to get an accurate idea of the current prices on your list. A little bit of prep goes a long way. Occasionally something that is advertised as a bargain with one retailer is actually more expensive than another pre-Black Friday.
Once you have your current price, work out a good deal price you would like to pay. Making sure you don't go over that price. It is all too easy to go click happy, so STICK to your plan!! If you get an item less than your target price, even better. That could mean an extra treat for you. You can never have too many shoes after all!!

3. Shop Around Online:
Shopping on the internet can be a lot easier than shopping instore on Black Friday. There are plenty of Black Friday offers and deals all over the web. The best thing about shopping online is, you can browse more than one shop at once!! I normally have about 20 or 30 pages open at a time. You quite often see websites updating their prices throughout the day. Keep hitting that refresh button...
4. Think Outside The Box:
