Bring On The Party Season In Style...

Happy Sunday lovelies, hope you're having a good weekend? The snow has arrived here, it has been falling on and off for the past 24 hours. It is really feeling like Christmas now. I kinda love snow around Christmas time, I am not a fan come January or February though!!

The days are just whizzing by, the big day will arrive soon enough. I am in a spin trying to get everything done before a Christmas break!

So much to do and so little time.

Why do us Mums work ourselves up over Christmas? On Christmas day, once the presents are open and Christmas dinner was a success, I sit and chill!

Knowing it was another great Christmas for us all. I really do like the children to know and hopefully think how me and my Husband have both worked hard at making Christmas magical for them again.

Who knows if they do!? I am sure they will realise when they are older and go through it themselves!

Me and my Husband do not really have Christmas presents at Christmas. We like to have things as and when we need them through the year so we can spend any spare money on our children.

I do however love to have a new party dress every Christmas. Just in case my Husband takes me out somewhere nice over the festive season (someone tell him!!) or an unexpected party maybe.

It also always has to be something glitzy and glamorous to stand out amongst all the Christmas tree sparkles & decorations too!!

On Friday, I received this rather special Christmas parcel to review which contained the perfect party dress and most adorable faux fur jacket. Perfect timing, just in time for the party season. You can imagine how excited I was receiving such a beautiful gift.

A few weeks ago I was introduced to the Nutmeg clothing range at Morrisons. I knew they did a clothing range but never realised they did women's clothing too.

Our local Morrisons only sell the children's range and all my children have outgrown them. {Well I thought they did, read further down to what I have just found out}.

I have noticed before how beautiful the children range is though. Wishing they stocked them when my children were small as they are adorable!!

I really liked all the pieces from their collection so I was happy to review any outfit perfect for a night out at Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the parcel. Sparkles, faux fur and bubbly. What more can a girl as for!?

My beautiful Christmas box contains a sparkly Christmas dress, adorable grey faux fur jacket, prosecco, crisps, and chocolate. I have been really spoilt.

Thank you so much, Morrisons.

When I popped the dress on, I felt like Cinderella did when her fairy Godmother arrived. Only this time when the dress fits, rather than the glass slippers!! It fitted perfectly into my body shape and I realised how feminine I felt after weeks of wearing legging and sweatshirts to keep warm. The dress is pretty and fits like a glove.

Next up the jacket, how beautiful is this? It feels lovely on and looks very expensive. It also has a nice soft quality feel to it. This has to be my favourite piece.

What I Wore:
  • Grey jacket: c/o Morrisons
  • Dress: c/o Morrisons
  • Necklace: Fiona Paxton
  • Shoes: c/o Marisota

Both items are really good quality with great price tags:

Dress: £20.00
Jacket £45.00

Available from Nutmeg at Morrisons. You can go on to the Morrisons/Nutmeg website and type in your postcode to find where their local store who stock ladies Nutmeg clothing range is.

*I typed my local store and it says they now stock the ladies Nutmeg clothing range here. I am off to visit them once the snow has gone, to check out their in-store range.
