Review: Optimum Vac 2 Air Vacuum Blender...

(Please note: This post contains affiliate links).

Happy Thursday. It is my Birthday on Saturday and I am still on a mission to lose weight, do more exercise and eat healthier.

A few weeks ago I was kindly asked if I would like to join the ambassador program for Froothie UK. How exciting. Yes, please! I had been admiring them on Facebook for a while now and have been wanting to try one of these Optimum Air Vacuum Blenders.

Being an Ambassador for them means I get to try out all sorts of kitchen gadgets to review, starting with this amazing Optimum Air Vacuum Blender.

I love making smoothies however with the cold Winter I had stopped making them.

Spring seems to have finally arrived so it is back to making yummy smoothies every day for breakfast. I love making smoothies up and always try to make new flavours by adding seasonal fruit and veggies. I usually make up any fun combinations with what fresh and frozen ingredients I have left over from the weekend shopping trip.

My Daughter came home from school and wanted to try it out straight away. We had a lot of fresh fruit in and she wanted to make a mixed fruit smoothie.

We used fresh fruit in this recipe but I would recommend mixing fresh and frozen fruit up to make the drink a bit colder. (Or add a few ice cubes which are no problem for this Blender.)

Strawberry, Kiwi, Banana And Pineapple Juice:

Ingredients:
  • 4 big strawberries, hull and washed
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
  • 1 banana peel and cut into 3
  • 8 fresh pineapple chunks

What To Do:
  1. Place all fruit into Optimum Vac 2 Air Vacuum Blender and set to smoothie mode.
  2. Serve straight away.

Yummy.

I made up a strawberry, banana, peanut butter ice cream smoothie.

Ingredients:
  • 1 medium banana, peeled
  • 1 large scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 large tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 100ml Almond milk
  • 3 large strawberries hull and washed

What To Do:
  1. Place all fruit into Optimum Vac 2 Air Vacuum Blender and set to smoothie mode.
  2. Serve straight away.

About The Optimum Vac 2 Air Vacuum Blender:

15 Different Functions:

A versatile device not just for energy-packed smoothies, you can also chop vegetables, crush ice and even knead bread dough with ease!!

Longer Shelf-life:

The Vacuum technology allows you to blend ahead of time and enjoy the same benefits and great taste of a freshly blended smoothie later.

Retains Freshness & Preserves Nutrients:

By blending in a Vacuum environment, the nutrients in the ingredients are fully preserved and freshness is retained until you open the lid.

Eliminates Discolouration & Oxidation:

Exposure to oxygen, or oxidation, compromises on the quality, texture and taste of the resulting smoothie. In a Vacuum, the resulting smoothie is finer, smoother and protected from separation and discolouration.

Maximises Nutrient Intake:

With the prevention of oxidation, the nutrients in fresh ingredients are fully preserved to ensure you receive the maximum nutrients from every smoothie.

Other smoothie ideas:

Method:
  1. Wash the blueberries and chop the banana.

Summary:

Firstly the health impact of this blender.

Usually with my favourite blender recipes by the time you have drunk the smoothie most of the Vitamins are lost. When exposed to the Air the Vitamins especially Vit C can be destroyed. So it has piqued my interest that this Blender creates a Vacuum keeping whatever you are blending fresh. Amazing!!

Mix up your favourite recipe before the gym or dog walk! pop in the fridge. Then when you come home a few hours later still a perfect Vitamin rich smoothie Wow.!!  Hopefully going forward I will have more energy with all these extra Vitamins. Check back in a Month or Two to see if I am achieving my goals!!

Watch this YouTube video to illustrate the difference between this Blender and a normal one.

Final Thoughts:

Wow, very impressive Science behind the Blender and the Vitamins you consume. Even my eldest Son who has a Masters Degree from Loughborough University was impressed when he made a surprise visit!

I love it. Great for my smoothies as mentioned. Also, a lovely recipe book comes with the blender. With loads of great ideas. My Husband has been wanting homemade soup for work so that is my next project. Watch this space!!

Not often I would give a 5-star rating.

This though, no hesitation highly recommended.

5 out 5  for this amazing device. ☆☆☆☆☆
