Citrus Zinger Water Bottle Review...

This week I got sent a fun Citrus Zinger water bottle to review. Anything that offers healthier options gets my attention straight away. The Citrus Zinger is a water bottle with a citrus press at the bottom. You can juice lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, satsumas or any citrus fruit of your choice to infuse your water with natural ingredients. This makes them an healthier alternative to artificial sugary pops. You can leave it to infuse for a few minutes or a few hours. Depending on whether you want a hint of or a full on flavour.
First up, looking in the fridge to see what fruit I can use. Orange for juicing, kiwi for slicing up and placing inside the bottle with a few frozen blackberries, perfect.

My thoughts on the Citrus Zinger Water Bottle:
I love the idea of making your own healthier pop drinks. The juicer at the bottom of the bottle is a great idea. Perfect for juicing all your citrus fruits into your water. It is simple to set up, easy to use. You can also infuse your favourite vegetables as well as fruits and add herbs or spices. I am looking forward to trying out some of the recipes that came with the bottle. A cool way to add a veritable rainbow of vitamins into your day!

Nutritionist and food technologist, Cathy Lawrence says:

“Infusing freshly pressed citrus juices with mineral water or tap water by this method is a simple way to create a refreshing drink which contains close to zero calories and sugars. This is a very healthy option compared with carton fruit juices that can contain the equivalent of over two teaspoons of sugar per 100mls, or with sports drinks that can contain three to four teaspoons of added sugars per 100mls. The zingy flavour of citrus fruits is due to the naturally occurring fruit acids, which once digested, have a beneficial alkalising effect on the body“.
