What pictures have you been snapping away at this week?

Me and my daughter decided on Saturday afternoon to go to the seaside and visit my Mum and Dad.

It was very last minute and we did not get there until 5 pm after catching a few trains. The good thing is about going in the afternoon was that there was plenty of room on the Skegness train and we almost had a row of seats to choose from.

One panic was, that my mum never heard her phone ring so we were not sure if by the time we got to their caravan if they would be in or if we would have to turn around and come straight back home.

Lucky for us they were there!!

We dropped our bags off and headed straight out after a bite to eat to the shops and slots whilst my Dad stayed in watching football.

Trying to get the perfect girly family selfie with the castle in the background was hard than it looks!!

Got one!!

The off to the slots for a bit of fun.

You win some, you lose some. All good fun though.

The next morning it was off to the beach, for an hour of sandcastle making. It was lovely visiting the sea for the first time this year. Also, doughnuts for 2nd breakfast went down well.

Getting to the sea early means you get the beach almost to yourself.

A bit of a walk around before heading back to the train station. Pity the rides did not open early on Sunday. Next time...

A little more time in the slots...

And a bag of chips to eat whilst waiting in the trained que before heading home. The weather was pefrct. Just what you want when you go to the coast.
