5 Recipes For National Espresso Day...


Happy Thursday. How is your week going so far? Not long for the weekend to arrive again!!

It is Espresso Day today. Are you a fan of anything coffee-y?

Do you like to mix coffee with alcohol in a cocktail?

If so, I have some lovely recipes for you today.


As today is National Espresso Day, I thought it would be perfect timing for sharing some tasty espresso cocktail recipes with you. Perfect for trying out before Christmas so you like them, you can share them with your Christmas parties. All made with Tia Maria and an espresso shot.


First up:

Tia Maria Cappuccino:

Ingredients:
  • 25ml Tia Maria
  • 25ml vodka
  • Shot of espresso

Method:
  • Shake all ingredients and pour into glass
  • Add foam on top

To Make The Foam:

Ingredients:
  • 100ml salted caramel or Morello cherry syrup
  • 200ml water
  • 2 egg whites
  • Two cream chargers

Method:
  • Foam the drink
  • Garnish with salted fudge/a single cherry


Tia Maria Espresso Martini

Ingredients:

  • 25ml Tia Maria
  • 25ml Vodka
  • Single/double shot of espresso
  • 5ml sugar syrup

Method:
  • Shake all ingredients hard
  • Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
  • Garnish with three coffee beans


Tia Maria Iced Popcorn Frappe:

Ingredients:
  • 50ml Tia Maria
  • 50ml milk
  • Double shot of espresso
  • 20ml popcorn syrup


Method:
  1. Shake all ingredients and pour over cubed ice.
  2. Garnish with popcorn.


Tia Maria Flat White Russian:


Ingredients:
  • 25ml Tia Maria
  • 25ml Jamaican Rum
  • Shot of espresso
  • 5ml demerara sugar
  • Laced on top with ice cold milk

Method:
  1. Fill glass with cubed ice.
  2. Add all ingredients.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Lace milk on top.
  5. Garnish with chocolate powder.


Tia Maria Mint Americano:

Ingredients:
  • 25ml Tia Maria
  • Double shot of espresso
  • 10ml sugar syrup
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 30ml sparkling water

Method:
  1. Drop mint into a shaker.
  2. Add all ingredients apart from sparkling water.
  3. Shake then pour over cubed or crushed ice.
  4. Stir.
  5. Top with a dash of sparkling water.
  6. Garnish with mint leaf.
