You might have guessed I am happy today!?
It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
I was dreading yesterday for the last six months as I knew this day was coming.
6 months ago my Daughter got tested for Celiac disease and tested positive twice and got an equivocal result.
Over the last 6 months, she has been On gluten, off gluten, on gluten and hospital check-ups and blood tests regularly.
Every blood test since has come back one positive and one negative result at the same time!?
How can this be?
It was all just that getting that bit too much for her and about month ago the Doctor decided we needed to draw a line under this and give her an upper endoscopy and biopsy.
I was dreading this day. The thoughts of mini-me having this procedure scared me. It made me upset thinking of her have this operation and has stressed me out all month.
Yesterday after setting out at 10 AM and not getting back until 10 PM I am finally relieved it is over. She did great and handled the whole procedure amazingly.
The Doctor even told us that there is no damage to her stomach but can not tells us anything else until the biopsy results come back in about 3 weeks.
I am so proud of her and glad that it is all nearly over so we can move on.
Hospitals are such a sad place. Especially the children's wards.
Seeing all those little faces having operations or the children that are recovering from their operations on the ward.
As for the NHS, they do amazing in looking after every patient. Some of the Doctors and Nurses that were there when we checked in at midday, were still there at 8PM that night.
They work so hard and do absolutely AMAZING jobs.
I want to see the sunshine after the rain
